Emily Reich

Emily Reich is an associate attorney in Blair Cato’s Columbia office, focusing on estate planning and probate law. A graduate of the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, Emily earned the CALI Award in Estate Planning, recognizing her as the top student in that course. She previously graduated from the University of Florida in 2018 with a degree in Public Relations.

Originally from Stuart, Florida, Emily was inspired to pursue law by her father, a practicing attorney for over 30 years. Her personal experiences—especially the early loss of her mother—have shaped her compassionate, client-centered approach to legal practice. She understands firsthand the emotional weight that estate planning and probate matters can carry, and she is dedicated to helping clients navigate these situations with clarity and care.

Outside of her legal work, Emily is deeply involved in the Columbia community. She has volunteered with Cat Around Town Project, a local nonprofit animal rescue, since 2019 and will serve as Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee of the SC Bar Young Lawyers Division for 2025–2026. She got married in 2024, has a home filled with rescue cats and dogs, and enjoys spending time with close friends, hosting movie nights and gatherings.
