As expected Richland County decided to issue tax bills on a Friday afternoon at the end of the month. This can have a major effect on closings where settlement statements have been issued. Escrows will change and the tax credit will now be a tax debit for the buyer. Please advise your clients that closing statements may change and to bring a personal check to closing for nominal increases.
